Great post! If I could recommend one book for all Christians to read this year, it would be "The Great Omission," by Dallas Willard. He has a lot to say that the current church needs to hear, in my opinion.

I don't remember ever riding on the tractor. I do remember all of the grandkids piling in the back of that truck. I remember Randy getting a spanking from Grandma because he would not share his big marble with me. He did not have much use for me after that. I remember him bringing a 22. All of the grandkids went to the pond at the back of the house to shoot it. I remember it being my turn; I had never held a weapon before. I swung around with that thing in my hands, to find something to shoot. Everyone hit the deck. Where were the adults?

Connie,
I'm reading it now. It is a great book!

Becky,
Regarding the adults. Now sure. I think all of that happened before someone invented safety.
